Julian is a building and construction lawyer who has advised subcontractors, contractors, principals and other project participants in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters. He has handled multiple matters under the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (Qld), the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 (Qld) and the Subcontractors’ Charges Act 1974 (Qld).
Julian is driven to achieve legally sound and commercially viable solutions for his clients avoiding litigation wherever possible. Prior to joining Batch Mewing, Julian worked both as a construction lawyer and a consultant in the industry. His experience in both roles gave him the requisite technical and commercial insight into key risks affecting construction and infrastructure projects enabling him to provide effective and relevant advice to his clients.
