About Kent

Kent provides end-to-end support to construction and infrastructure clients, advising across the entire project lifecycle – from front-end contract negotiation to back-end dispute resolution.

He has advised on some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects, including Inland Rail, Cross River Rail, and the Gateway Motorway and Bruce Highway upgrades. His experience also includes cross-border transactions involving parties in New Zealand, Asia, and Europe.

Drawing on broad commercial experience across large corporations, start-ups, not-for-profits, and community organisations, Kent brings a grounded, pragmatic, and commercially focused approach to helping clients navigate their opportunities and challenges.

Project highlights

Jubilee Place

Assisted the Head Contractor with the preparation of administration documents for the Jubilee Place. Also advised in relation to potential claim against the Head Contractor’s engineers.

Inland Rail

Developed the contract suite for a head contractor’s use on a major $1B+ Qld infrastructure project to facilitate procurement of subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

James Cook University Projects

Assisted the Head Contractor on various JCU projects, including the Cairns Innovation Centre and Townsville Student Accommodation Complex. Assistance involved review of the proposed contract documents, and the preparation of departures to assist in contract negotiations.
